Having been to Mexico twice, I have had quite a lot of experience spent a fair amount of time there. So often, I stayed at a resort because if was safer and there were more places to relax. However, venturing into town and seeing how local life is would also be fine, just make sure to be cautious! Even thought it may be a little less safe it is eye-opening to see that quality of life there and how different from us they live. Something I noticed it that the buildings were lower quality and the people were poorer. As well it seemed that they made most of their money off of tourists coming into town. The coasts of Mexico have beautiful beaches with soft sand and wonderful views. Walking around the beach or resort at day is nice but can be a little hot at times to many people go into the water during those times. In the evening conditions are better to walk around and explore. However, walking on the beach at night is wonderful as there is a nice breeze and it feels more relaxing. In terms of food a lot of it is good but there are certain foods that you may want to avoid because of food-borne diseases which you can find out more around if you click here . Finally, there is Chicken Itza which was a cool site with ancient pyramids. Even though I was too young to understand the significance of the pyramids I now realize that it was really interesting to see structures from such a long time ago.
